Hey there—I’m Andrew Muenks. I’m a husband, dad of two, full-time mechanic, and part-time sawdust collector. What started as a hobby—making custom wood gifts for family and friends—has turned into something a little bigger. Now I’m sharing my favorite handmade pieces with you.
At Knotty Woodcrafts, I create custom, small-batch wood pieces using materials sourced straight from mid-Missouri. I work with a variety of natural hardwoods—my favorites being walnut and cherry—with no dyes, stains, or shortcuts. (Bonus: my dad owns a bandsaw mill that cuts most of my slabs.)
My Process
Each board starts as raw, locally sourced hardwood. I clean, cut, sand, and shape each piece by hand—finishing it off with food-safe oils and my personal stamp of approval. Whether you’re buying a gift or grabbing something for yourself, I want your product to be something you love for years to come.
My Past Work:
Below you can find some past work I've made by hand. All projects are made-to-order, so if you see something you like - please send over a message and I would be happy to chat about recreating something similar for you! If you have a specific vision in mind that you don't see below, I'd still love to chat to see how I can bring it to life for you.
